9 Different Simple Fish Outline Templates – Free to Download
I’ve put together 9 different fish outlines, some featuring a single fish and others with three on a page, so you have plenty of options to choose from. These templates are designed with thick black outlines, making them ideal for:
- Cutting out and decorating – Add scales, glitter, or tissue paper.
- Coloring pages – A simple activity for kids.
- Stencils – Use them for painting or tracing on different surfaces.
- DIY projects

Two big and simple fish outlines on a DIN 4 page. Of course you can also print it on DIN5. In light grey you can see the fins and face of the fish as guidelines for coloring them. Let me know in the comments below if you need a certain fish and I’ll make sure to add it within 24 hours!

Next up are two fish per page. On the left there are two gold fish and on the right the outline of two bubble fish – A super round, balloon-like fish with tiny fins or at least it’s supposed to be.

Here are the outlines of three fish on a DIN4 page. Each fish has a bold, thick black outline, making it perfect for crafting, coloring, or cutting out. The designs are simple, ideal for a variety of creative projects such as making a Rainbow Fish, ocean-themed decorations, or educational activities for kids. The next two are dolphin and shark outlines as well as super simple ling fish outlines.
BONUS: Starfish Outline Template
Last but not least: Starfish outline templates and starfishes to color-in.

Creating a Rainbow Fish
One of my favorite ideas is turning these fish outlines into a Rainbow Fish craft, inspired by the beloved children’s book. Here’s how:
- Print out a fish outline and color it in bright, vibrant colors.
- Use shiny foil or metallic paper to add the signature glittery scales.
- Attach a googly eye and hang it up for a fun ocean-themed decoration!
