Inside My First Toddler Winter Activities Magazine: Calm & Screen Free Play

winter toddler activities and crafts magazine mommyscrafttime.com

If your toddler dropped their nap but still gets grumpy and tired every evening… you’re not alone. My son is 28 months old, and winter afternoons used to feel like a never‑ending guessing game of “what can I offer that won’t overstimulate him?”

That’s exactly why I created my first bi‑monthly toddler craft & activity magazine — to take the thinking out of your day and replace it with calm, intentional play.

🧠 Why a Toddler / Preschool Magazine — and Why Winter?

Winter is hard with toddlers. Fewer outdoor hours, more big emotions, and very tired little bodies.

This magazine was designed around real daily rhythms, not Pinterest‑perfect schedules:

  • Mornings: best for focus, crafts, and life skills
  • Midday / former nap time: gentle outdoor resets
  • Evenings: calming sensory play to wind down

Everything inside is:

  • low‑prep
  • mostly mess‑free
  • screen‑free
  • realistic for busy mums

📖 What’s Inside the Winter Activities & Crafts Magazine

Inside the Winter Edition, you’ll find:

  • Seasonal toddler crafts (easy, adaptable, no perfection needed)
  • Montessori‑inspired activities teaching life skills using household items
  • Nature and outdoor play ideas
  • Sensory play ideas for tired evenings
  • Calm activities for toddlers who won’t nap anymore

This isn’t a craft book you finish once — it’s a tool you come back to.

✨ January Magazine Already Out 🙂

The next issue is already out and called from Winter into Spring — with more outdoor play, nature crafts, and seasonal transitions.

I’m especially proud of the design this time. It’s calmer, more refined, and even more parent‑friendly. I put so much effort into this one. 🙂 The ideas are varied you’ll come back to it.

📌 My Honest Thoughts as a Mum

This magazine grew directly out of our hardest time of day — evenings.

When my toddler stopped napping, I needed ideas that worked even when he was exhausted. Sensory play consistently helped him calm down, and once I started organizing ideas by time of day, everything felt easier.

That’s what I wanted to pass on.

❄️ Why I’m Proud of This First Issue

This is my very first finished magazine, and I intentionally kept it simple:

  • clean design
  • clear instructions
  • no overwhelm

It’s meant to support you — not give you another thing to keep up with.
